Honduran Lobster is a warm-water species harvested primarily in deeper offshore waters. These conditions support high-volume landings, particularly from trap-based fishing vessels equipped for at-sea freezing.

Both raw tails and whole frozen lobsters are processed at sea, then returned to shore for grading, quality checks, and packing into export-ready master cartons.

100% of all Honduran Lobsters sold by Wild Seas are wild-caught.

Sustainability & Management

The Honduran lobster fishery is currently engaged in a Fishery Improvement Project (FIP) designed to strengthen sustainability outcomes, improve governance, and reduce environmental impacts.

Fishing is conducted using traps and free-diving methods, with ongoing efforts to enhance traceability, stock protection, and responsible harvest practices.
