With an annual catch volume estimated between 30,000 – 40,000 metric tonnes, the Caribbean Lobster is one of the fastest-growing tropical lobsters, reaching maturity within 2–3 years.
Belizean Lobster tails are well suited to foodservice and retail applications that demand quality, convenience, and versatility.
100% of all Belizean Lobsters sold by Wild Seas are wild-caught.
Sustainability & Management
Belize maintains some of the strongest lobster fishery regulations in the Caribbean. The fishery supports artisanal fishing communities and prohibits large-scale industrial vessels and freezing at sea.
To enhance diver safety and reduce environmental impact, the use of SCUBA gear is banned, promoting hookah and free-dive practices as safer, lower-impact alternatives.
